Sure, tons of people have seen the source code.

Oh, yeah class diagrams in general would be nice, and I've seen in the
qdoc3 todo list that QtSoftware does intend to do that at some point

Then read the source, a class diagram won't help you to implement that. You
really need to sit down now and start reading a C++ book, so you're able to
read and understand the designer source. Afterwards things will be really
easy ;)
