I don't know about it being a common problem. The closest setup I have
to this is Ubuntu 9.04,
qt-4.5.0, PyQt4-4.4.4. A scrollbar appears whenever needed - whether
the combobox is editable or not.
I don't suppose this helps you much, but it isn't a common fault in
PyQt, as far as I am aware.
