I am using Inno Setup, but there are alternatives of course. It is not 
integrated in the toolchain at all. It would have been nice if you could 
build an installer directly from the .pro file, but alas, that is not

The documents you mention are not about creating an installer, but about 
what files to ship in that installer and they layout of those files.
