[Qt-interest] [Ann] Qt 4.6 and Creator 1.3 Release Candidates Available

We're pleased to announce that Release Candidates (RC) of Qt 4.6: the upcoming new version of the Qt cross-platform application and UI framework for desktop, embedded and mobile development; and Qt Creator: the cross-platform Qt IDE; are now available for download, testing and feedback.  Qt 4.6 and Qt Creator 1.3.0 are scheduled for release in Q4 2009.


Qt 4.6 RC
---------
The Qt 4.6 Release Candidate incorporates feedback gathered from the Technology Preview and Beta releases, and provides a final chance to preview of new features and optimizations slated for release in Qt 4.6, including:

- Advanced graphics effects, new animation framework and multitouch support
- Support for new platforms including Windows 7 and Symbian
- Improved performance

Qt Creator 1.3 RC

Qt Creator 1.3 improves existing features and adds new ones across the IDE, including:

- Preliminary features for Qt development targeting the Symbian platform
- New support for source code refactoring
- Support for multi-core compilation with Microsoft Visual C++ Compiler
- Updated toolchain to MinGW 4.4

DOWNLOAD THE RCs: SDK AVAILABLE

The Qt 4.6 RC is available under a special commercial technology preview license and GNU LGPL version 2.1.  Binary and source code packages are available, along with a combined SDK including the Qt 4.6 and Qt Creator 1.3 release candidates. The packages are available for download from:

The Qt Creator 1.3 RC is available under the GNU LGPL version 2.1. Source code is available from http://qt.gitorious.org/qt-creator, and binary packages for Windows, Linux and Mac are available for download from:
