[Qt-interest] opengl on MDI subwindow?

Is it possible to get a QGLWidget object up and running on a MDI subwindow? When I follow the example on Qt's 
documentation[1] and replace the QTextEdit-derived class with a QGLWidget-derived one I get a series of 
QPaint errors. Does it need a bit more work than just plugging the widget in?
