[Qt-interest] Console always appearing after compiling with nmake.

Hi Ben,

Our .pro files have an explicit

TEMPLATE = app
CONFIG += qt

and they don't show the console on Windows. I'm not sure what a blank
template will do?

Have a look at the QMake Assistant for TEMPLATE, and its link to qmake
Common Projects.

Tony.

Sorry for the multiple message! :(

contains any of the following flags (release, debug, debug_and_release,
build_all) then the console always appears, if the CONFIG variable is left

why, I can't work out why this could be??? If anybody knows, please shout
up! :(

It seems that the CONFIG variable also needs the windows option to prevent
the console appearing; it seems this is included by default in the CONFIG
variable - although the docs don't state such!

Thanks,
Ben.
