[Qt-interest] systemwide key and mouse button press events

Hello,

is it possible to get systemwide key press and mouse events using Qt? Is there a cross-platform Qt-functionality comparable to MS window's GetAsyncKeyState() which is not restricted to the current QApplication?

I have to build a small application with minimal user interface (which stays on top) that visualizes mouse-button-states (left/right/middle) and any key-press-states (e.g. CTRL+R is actually pressed). This tool should help to make software-tutorial-movies (of other applications) so that the observer can see which keys / mouse buttons are currently pressed ...
