Dear qt-interest,

i am really frustrated because i somehow can't get qtcrypto (qca) running at all. neither on my snow leopard macbook nor on a windows xp VM. I really could need some help.

first the "theory" what is needed to be done:
- OpenSSL must be installed on the System (no Prob on both platforms)

- Qt must be configured with -openssl (tried that with macports, but not sure if i did it right. compiling error on windows - the "default" package downloadable from qt.nokia.com seems to have no openssl support enabled)

- some path entrys that everybody finds itselfs.

Every way I tried did fail. I have no glue what to do. The fink project for example has no qt4 packages and no qca packages.

Maybe i point out where i try to end with.

We need to develop a little application for a class in university which uses symmetric and asymmetric encryption algorithms. We decided to use Qt to accomplish that … everything works so far but without the encryption part of it because i can't install any library for that matter … libcrypto++ f.e. also didn't work for me.

so a little tutorial for windows would help, too. or maybe a statement like "i use this OS, this Version of QCA and OpenSSL and it works fine for me"

I really could need some help. Please! :)

Greetings
raesener
