NO. I now recomplie qt4.5.2 and set all plugins, such as qsqlite, DO generate manifest file.
BTW, where do you find "Qt's own documentation says it will not work"? Can you post the link if possible?

I am glad it is working.  I think you mean "I now set all the plugins to 
*not* generate manifest file."

Why doesn't Configure automatically (by default) create .pro files which do 
not embed the manifest into plug-in DLL's?  It is an error that it is 
embedded, as Qt's own documentation says it will not work.  Qt Software: 
please fix this.

Short of a global fix, is there even a workaround that lets us easily edit 
one .pro file to remove the EMBED_MANIFEST_DLL flag instead of editing all 
the .pro files for each plug-in?
