[Qt-interest] OS independant USB HID communication

Hi together,

I'm new to that list. I know that my problem is not a real Qt topic, but 
perhaps someone here can help me. I'm developing a device and want make it 
communicating with the PC. I write the software in Qt. What do you think is 
the best way to provide OS independant (especially Win and Linux) USB HID 
communication. Do I have to use an extra lib like libusb or is it same Code  
and just a different Devicename. Can you give me a hint how to start.
