[Qt-interest] Way of custom Qml item creation ?

Hello,

I saw the examples of declarative and in extending i found only item 
inherited from QObject and none inherited from QDeclarativeItem.
Which are the good way to create my own qml item :

1° Using Inherited object of QDeclarativeItem
2° Do it like in the examples
