[Qt-interest] Geographical Information System

Hello forum,

I have a database of Geographical position of a district and i want to
design a GUI so that i can read  the database and place some glyphs on the
map of the district on those position that i have read.

I am quite new to  this Geographical Information System and any reference to
any existing project where Qt has been used would be of great help to me.
