What is to stop anyone, including adres harvesters, from joining the 
list? Or do you suggest that in all list traffic email addresses are 
masked? That would be very inconvenient, as it would make it impossible 
to contact people directly if that is appropriate. In the archives, 
email addresses *are* masked.
By the way: you do realize that email addresses are very easy to guess? 
You don't need to use an address at all for it to start receiving spam. 
And if you only use your email address for Qt-interest any way, 
filtering should be trivial: all list messages have the [Qt-interest] 
tag in the subject line, for instance. Anything not matching that is 
spam, right?
