Hmmm, that's interesting: so you are saying that also QSplashScreen has a shadow on Mac? I will try this myself when I find some time on my home Mac.

Thanks for your code sharing! But IMHO Qt should take care of that already. Or is there simply a "QNoShadow" flag missing in the current Qt API? *hint* *hint* ;) And what about Cocoa? :)
