[Qt-interest] Internationalization and QDate::toString

I have an application that prints out calendar dates using QDate::toString().
I have tried, with the help of friends, to make it international by using Qt-Linguist.

An aquaintence who speaks Polish pointed out to me that the declined form of the month name (stycznia) is always used.  He tells me that this is proper only when writing a specific date (5 stycznia 2011) and that when used by itself it should be a capitalized proper name (Styczeń)

Is there any way to control this from the application ?
