Well, there is a slight difference between our respective statements. :)

Stl has a larger user base including those who at the forefront of  
developing and refining the language for the rest of us.  And while I  
certainly hope it never happens, if Qt loses it's market position,  
then my code doe not need to be ported back to stl.
