Thanks for the link, Harish. I've looked at it many times and even used 
the code as a reference for using Phonon in my own app. However, no 
matter how much I try to compare my code with that code, the cross 
fading still doesn't work correctly.

(For the record, that link above doesn't seem to work for me, but I read
