Now that is just plain silly. That is like saying, if *everybody* thinks the Earth is flat and *nobody* notices for decades it is not, then it must be flat.

People *did* notice the problem (read the original posting), someone figured out the root cause, and then investigated where it existed and discovered that a lot of image manipulation software had the problem.
