Microsoft is ideologically opposed to anything that runs on platforms 
other than what they control. <<

There *is* is Linux version called Mono, but one big worry is that MS 
have all sorts of hidden patents they will unleash on the community if 
it is widely adopted.

That's aside from the fact that it produces rubbish programs. :~p
