I could develop an app like that in Qt easily using stylesheets and  
designer, provided I had access to a talented graphic artist. Much of  
what you see there is graphic art and less about the widget toolkit.

I agree with you that Qt's example apps are much less attractive than  
those shown at that URL. Nokia would be wise to invest in some graphic  
art to spice up their example apps. As is, they seem a bit dated.
