I have yet to find out the gcc version on Mac OS 10.6.2 this evening. But according to http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2009-12/msg00240.html ("I built a special GCC 4.4.2 from source with Xcode's default gcc 4.2.1. [...] I am on Snow Leopard. ...") it is a 4.2.1 (that is, older than my Kubuntu gcc 4.3.2, which works).

Good catch ;) Thas was me re-formatting the example code for email, as to save some lines - the ZIP attachement was okay though :)

I will post my example / Mac OS 10.6.2 experience at http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=42616 and hope this fix makes it sometimes into the XCode gcc. But I've heard Apple is currently busy selling their iPads ;)
