QtCreator uses a separate build of Qt located in the $INSTALLDIR/bin, as 
opposed to $INSTALLDIR/qt/bin.

You need to install your plugin to this other location to have it enabled in 
QtCreator.

Note: if you're using Windows, you need to compile the plugin with MSVC.
