Googling "irrlicht qt" shows up several forum discussions. Among them is one which shows complete source of a QWidget which embeds the Irrlicht renderer:

Did not go into details, but from what I understood the code itself seems to be working - it is merely there to reproduce some other problem. Anyway, this and other Qt related Irrlicht forum threads should get you started...
