I pretty much said it in a  previous post:  I don't understand why support for TDS was dropped (if I recall it was based on a communication between a troll and a guy from the TDS mailing list), when we are basically told/forced to use TDS indirectly (as all MS-SQL ODBC drivers are TDS based (except Microsoft's) ).

I would greatly appreciate getting a copy of that :)
Is it in a working state, or does it need extra work?
