[Qt-interest] ASSERT failure in QList<T>

Hello I have this error generated:

*"ASSERT failure in QList<T>::at: "index out of range", file
../qtsdk-2010.02/qt/include/QtCore/qlist.h"*

in a piece of code in a program that has nothing to do with lists at least
from a high level point of view, which crashes the program, the crash occurs
everytime control gets to a particular branch of a switch statement, in
another branch it occurs half of the time, but works fine for the rest of
the branches. Earlier in the development of this application, the problem
did not exist, but has suddenly surfaced and remained
