Yes, between the lines.
I am not sure if it makes sense for me to learn and start with QML if I 
do not care about animations and mobile platforms.

But if QML makes ui design easier, faster and has other advantages (e.g 
QML vs bad c++ code ...) it seems rational to use it in desktop apps as 
well.

Guess, I just have to give it a try (in creator 2.1) to find out ...
