[Qt-interest] How Do I Block Off a Section of the Screen from Maximized Windows?

You have to change the desktop size (not resolution). I don't know how to do this, but many apps do it: trillian, explorer.exe, etc. 

Also remember the start bar can be verically oriented, as I do (fits more tasks in)

Hi everybody,

I'm developing a Qt application on Windows. It's a sidebar with some buttons to launch actions (start an application...).

I've found the solution to keep the application always on top and remove the window border, but I'm looking for the solution to reserve a section of the screen.

I've found some utilities, for example:

but I want to do this with Qt.
