[Qt-interest] embeding version number

Hi all,

we have an application based on QT that is build for different platforms
(wince, win32, linux).
now i would like to have the version number of our appilcation embedded in
the binaries.

in qmake manual i found that "VERSION = 1.0.0.121" in the pro file will do
the job.
but i cannot find the version number in the binaries.

what am i missing?
