One of the problems of Qt is that it doesn't use native window handles, so stuff like that won't work.
You could work around it by making a native window handle and using that for your input to Qt. Also, looking at the docs, maybe using Qt::AA_NativeWindows will work?

I investigated voice recognition software for a recent project
and that the choice of software was limited. There are several mobile platforms
which have specific voice support for dialling, and searching, but no usable general
voice control in other apps.
Most of the voice software appears to be owned, or is distributed,
by Nuance who do the Dragon Natural Speaking software. They distribute ViaVoice,
and provide the voice technology used in Android and in the Kopin Goldeneye.
I ended up having to switch to using C# with Dragon Natural
Speaking under Windows on a UMPC. The Dragon Software would not work with Qt
apps, I believe because it searches through the native windows structures
matching text with the words it recognizes.
