[Qt-interest] Automatic Adjustment of an Image for Display on a Projector

Hey All -
Slightly OT here - but I want to implement this using Qt. :-) Feel free
to shut me down and tell me I'm out of line for asking this here. Anyway...

I'm working on a presentation style program (control screen + output to
a 2nd screen). I notice when displaying images on a projector, the
intensities of some of the colors (red/yellows and some blues) is way
out of wack compared to the "preview" display on the control screen.
E.g. when displayed on the monitor, the image looks fine (skin tones
correct), but when displayed on the projector, the colors are just "off"
somehow. Yes, I know - adjust the projector. I've spent hours adjusting
the projector. However, is there some way, some sort of adjustments that
can be done using a QImage - to adjust the colors so they "appear"
somewhat the same on the projector as they do on the screen?

Does anyone have any knowledge of whats needed -- do I need to adjust
the intensity curves on a per-channel basis? Adjust the H/S/V of the
image using some average trend based on the Hue? Pull the saturation
back by 0.5% or something? I'm hoping smarter minds than my own have
some idea of the appropriate adjustments needed here.

Thanks for your time.
-Josiah
