[Qt-interest] PDF output & path support

The internal PDF engine seems to miss proper path support. At some point
in the past there was such a thing in Qt4, IIRC. You can see that in the
attached file, a modified Qt overpainting example generating PDF output.
Text is fine, the Qt logo is a pixmap rendered from OpenGL, so it's also
fine - but the bubbles are produced with QPainter::drawEllipse, and they
are still ragged.

Could someone clarify? Are there plans to (re-)introduce smooth PDF
painting?
