[Qt-interest] Why is using XmlPatterns so cumbersome?

Thanks everyone for backing me up! While I love Qt, I am hesitant to be critical of it, because it really is awesome, and I use it differently than most: I never have a GUI. I use QtCore, QtXml, QtSql, QtNetwork. The days I get to use the GUI stuff are rare. The quality adn ease of use of those modules is high.
Yes, I was very dissapointed to hear that 4.7 features had been determined and its only changes inclusions were QML and a Multimedia re-work (I guess Phonon bombed?) and Creator 2.0. Generally Qt has something for everyone, but the 4.7 release has only GUI stuff (aside form fixes)

Though Qt's scope is comprehensive, there are plenty of places where Qt needs love. By biggest two complaints are that:
- there still is no proper SOAP/WebServices support. (The Qt Solution is not up-to-date, nor complete) (Though I hope the QtMobility provides this in the future via the service framework.)
- the Xml Search/Replace is still non-existent.

I've voted for the XML bug though I swear I made one myself years ago. Anyway, its been a problem since 4.4...

Is there a way to see the bugs/issues with the highest votes?

But I like your ideas very much and I hope the focus of Qt development does not get lost too much on "fancy widgets", but rather goes towards "core fu
