Maybe think about gpg/pgp in the future to "prove" your identity? And think 
about strong passwords. And about not giving them to even closest friends. Or 
even wifes if there is a chance these are about to become ex-wifes...

Even the "most secure" system is only as secure as the one using it. 
Ultimately you can't get around human errors in software or hardware...
