Tier 3 doesn't mean it's unusable or can be used for basic applications only. Tier 3 means it's neither developed nor officially supported by Nokia.

And it seems like the biggest problem of Qt on Android is the lack of virtual keyboard. So, unless your application needs text input, there are no serious problems in trying Android port of Qt. :)

I don't know if the iPhone port is in similar semi-mature state or not. And, to be honest, I personally don't care. :)
