Hi Girish,
at least here I have to agree with you. After a thorough refactoring which included the removal of a serious memory leak, this behaviour vanished. So there definitely was something fundamentally wrong in my code. 

Nevertheless... the problem existed. I did write out the thread-ids. They were different. And no, no QThread, QRunner, QFuture, or whatever directly or indirectly handles threads. It is a mystery. If I had the time, I would check the repository when the problem vanished and what caused it, but the pressures of project schedules......
