[Qt-interest] Some fonts don't work on Mac OS X

This is Qt bug 736, see http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-736. This bug has been there since 4.3, and reported in June 2006. If you want to see it fixed, I guess the best is to hit the "vote" button on the bug report. I find it strange that Qt has been through 4 minot releases unable to display fonts properly on the Mac.

It's not one or two fonts either. Here is the list of fonts that don't work on my machine: Academy Engraved LET, Bank Gothic, Big Caslon, Blackmoor LET, Bordeaux Roman Bold LET, Futura, GB18030 Bitmap, Hei, Jazz LET, Kai, Lucida Grande, Marker Felt, Optima, Party LET, Santa Fe LET, Savoye LET, Skia, Symbol, Times, Type Embellishments One LET, Verdana, Wingdings, Zapf Dingbats.

I've been unable to find the common denominator. There are .dfont files and .ttc files, there are fonts in different locations, there is no obvious pattern in the Postscript name or style list... I didn't look for very long though. But it's an annoying bug.
