Did you mean the S60 Emulator whic his part of the S60 SDKs? That does 
indeed not directly run on Linux. The Qt Simulator (part of the Nokia Qt 
SDK http://doc.qt.nokia.com/qtsimulator-1.0/ ) works pretty well on 
Linux, OSX and Windows. If not, please report bugs.

Easy building of a Symbian Qt application on Linux is still being worked 
on. But for the time being, you can already use the Forum Nokia remote 
compiler ( 
http://doc.qt.nokia.com/qtcreator-2.0/creator-building-targets.html#building-with-remote-compiler 
), which I believe also works on OSX.
