[Qt-interest] Loading a lot of fonts.

Hello gang:

I am using purify to check my Qt app
and it runs reeeeeeal slooooow under Purify.

A profile run shows the app making over 1158
calls to FT_Open_Face as part of constructing
the QApplication object.

It would appear to be loading 1157 fonts that
it may never need. Does that strike anybody
else as a waste of time.

All of the above under Linux.
