[Qt-interest] *Spoofed Mail* How to get update rect in paint event

Experiments show the exposedRect is really not what I need. It always
equals my boundingRect, even if only a part of my item is invalidated.
 
How do I get the updateRect then?

When I update a GraphicsItem using 
update(someRect); 
how do I get "someRect" within my paint event, so I can optimize my
painting? 

I suspect QStyleOptionGraphicsItem::exposedRect, but given it's name, it
might just as well only return the part of the GraphicsItem not covered
by other (opaque) items.

Couldn't find anything in the docs about that.
