Alan, Thiago, thanks for your very informative posts about this topic! That really brought some light into the darker corners of the C++ reinterpret_cast world for me ;) Also the covariance and contravariance topic was very interesting (I remember faintly that we covered that back then at university as well - brought up some good memories, thanks :)
