Wrong. Look at QtCreator, for instance. Qt desktop was not fobbed off for mobile platforms.
I personally implemented the desktop backends for QtMobility's QtSystemInfo.
Desktop development was never stopped.

Wrong again. We still have lots of work to do both on desktop and mobile spaces.

Not if it wants a disruptive future...

Personally, I like Qt, Qml and Meego being labeled a "disruptive" technology... appeals to my rebellious, non-autoritarian roots.
