No, there's a world of difference.

One is discussing the strategy which is a fact. I'm not going to stop
you.

I'm asking people to stop with rumours and accusations. People don't
know how these negotiations took place, they don't know when they
started, they don't know a lot of things. Moreover, taking bets also
doesn't help.
