Fortunately, the folks at Trolltech and KDE got together and made an
agreement that if ever Tolltech didn't release a free version of Qt
for a year (such as if they get bought out or went bankrupt), then a
special foundation set up by Trolltech and KDE would have the right to
release Qt under a BSD-style license. When Nokia bought out Trolltech,
the agreement was renewed.
