I gave it a go but no success:

I booted up to Windows 7 (Home Premium 64 bit) on my Dell Studio 1749.
I then installed NokiaQtSDK 1.0.2 + Qt 4.7.1, using the mingw 4.4 in
NokiatQtSDK to compile the imagegestures sample for desktop, Qt 4.7.1.

The example started fine, but I did not get any gestures to trigger.
I also tried compiling for Simulator, although I'm not sure if gestures are
even supposed to work there. Same results as for the desktop.

Pinch zoom seemed to work fine in Firefox, so there is at least some support
for gestures in the underlying hardware. I believe the touchpad is some
Synaptics model.

Back to linux and mouse for now.
