As far as understand there plugins are not supposed to be listed in the registry:

I am using QT4.7.3 on Windows. The Debug Build was compiled with
"-qt-gif -qt-libpng -qt-libmng -qt-libtiff -qt-libjpeg" but the plugins
were not added in the registry
(HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Trolltech\OrganizationDefaults\Qt Plugin
Cache 4.7.debug). Is there a simple way to do this and refresh the data?
My problem is that QImageReader::supportedImageFormats () returns only
bmp, pbm, pgm, png, ppm, xbm and xpm - jpeg and tiff support are missing
but the dlls were build and are in place.
