As I read Qt Mobility, it comes with RFCOMM, which I think (but am not sure)
is SPP?  I also am using an FTDI USB on Mac and Windows and am interested in
supplementing this with Bluetooth SPP on Mac and Windows.  I am not as far
along in my investigation as you are, but I do think the RFCOMM part of Qt
Mobility is valuable....
