[Qt-interest] what does it mean exactly about Qt future ? Desktop ? Mobile ?

I Think Digia's announcement is pretty explicit about this:

"Digia will invest in the development of Qt as a commercial framework. In particular the plan is to emphasize Qt in the desktop and embedded environments and to examine new support models and functionality requests."

So, yes, that looks promising to Qt on the desktop, especially if Qt-commercial customers request desktop functionality. All in all, this move seems very positive. Given the recent news, it was hard to see why Nokia would care about the desktop and desktop licenses, but Digia is a very different company with an interest in the wider Qt ecosystem.

Seems like a good deal, as long as ownership and governance issues are correctly sorted out.
