[Qt-interest] I see the Trolls are being sold to Digia

I haveto go with Thiago on this one. There's way more information to this than
what is publicly available - which is evident just by the various articles, etc.
out there on the subject.

Yes, Nokia is in the process of contracting with Microsoft to use WP7.
>From other sources I came across yesterday, it seems they'll get $1 Billion
dollars[1] (US I believe, assuming the article is right) to do so.
>From everything it doesn't seem like they're restricted to just WP7.

That said, WP7 is a magnificent failure - a flop. Microsoft had already spent
$500 million USD on its marketing
without being able to make any headway. So now it seems they're trying to drop
another billion to get someone to use it.
Well, expect all other manufacturers to start dropping it unless they get a
billion or more from Microsoft too - with a similar
deal in place so they can continue with Android, etc.

All-in-all - I still see Nokia doing MeeGo/Maemo phones as the replacement for
Symbian.
Sure, they're going to have some WP7 phones. But they're still going to have
Symbian and Maemo/MeeGo phones too.
And if WP7 proves to still be a flop, they'll drop it eventually too.

The market has, after all, pretty clearly spoken and said that it doesn't want
another Microsoft Windows-based phone.
So it's money in Nokia's pocket - money that'll likely benefit Nokia without
doing much to actually help Microsoft.

$0.02,

Ben
