Then Qt would be the platform -- that would be a bad development imho. Qt
should continue to strive to be a great framework for developing for any and
all platforms.

I would like to develop Windows apps, and OSX apps (and Android apps etc), 
that just happen to be using Qt. Qt should be in the background doing its 
job for us all, not an end-user brand.

*cross-platform is a state of mind, not another platform*

Personally I have no reason to believe that MS would have any problem with 
Qt based apps in their App Store. Windows apps are developed in all sorts of 
ways. Any suggestion to the contrary in this thread seems to me to just be 
unfounded MS bashing from Linux fanboys who probably don't even use Windows.

Anyway, the only vendor possibly so fascist as to reject apps because they 
are Qt-based is Apple...
