[Qt-interest] Windows 8 Store

Well, it's probably among the smaller stores, but Intel's AppUp should work
fine for Qt desktop applications, even if it is geared a bit for netbooks and
tablets in future.

There is a Windows store client, as well as Meego one.

It even has some big titles:

http://www.appup.com/applications/applications-Angry+Birds

you can see the number of downloads, for above it is somewhere in 40000-50000
range, most other applications don't come near. They do take care of the
billing etc. http://appdeveloper.intel.com/ is the developer site.

I do see some Qt apps there that are also at Nokia Ovi Store, so I'm planning
to submit some of mine to see if there is any traction.

There are also number of Qt apps in Apple's Mac appstore.

But I don't see why Microsoft would try to block Qt native apps from their PC
store, they don't have the dominant position any longer that they used to, and
windows PCs can be developed for with multitude of tools already, unlike the
phones.
